Hello there!
I'm a full-stack web developer with a heavy focus on interactive, data-driven web applications. I'm passionate about writing good code and creating good products.
I also enjoy the finer things in life, like bourbon and being in the woods.
Insurun is a comparative insurance platform for agents and consumers. It provides real-time quotes from many different insurance carriers and enables the consumer to quickly find the best policy for their needs and budget.
The Insurun stack is built on a microservice architecture consisting of Java and Node.js services and a React frontend. I am the lead engineer on the frontend and the Node.js services.
Insurun is currently serving thousands of quotes in New York, and is still in active development as we prepare to expand to more states.
Skyrise is a web application that targets the real-estate market. It provides property owners and developers with a means to centrally organize all assets pertaining to a particular property.
I developed this app from the ground up based on the required features that the company expressed as well as UI sketches that they provided. The stack included Python/Django on the backend; AngularJS, Django templating, and SCSS on the frontend; and Heroku and AWS for hosting and CDN.
Skyrise is currently in private beta.
Armada is a cloud management web application that allows a user to centrally deploy and manage applications and stacks across a wide spectrum of platforms.
I was the lead frontend developer on this project. The UI is built with AngularJS, Jade and LESS with a heavy emphasis on usability and speed. I was also involved with building out the automation scripts that provision new servers.
Armada is no longer being developed.
At Metronet I was a jack-of-all-trades sysadmin. I handled everything from our internal infrastructure to our many clients' VOIP servers, email systems, and Windows domains. I was heavily involved in both the planning and execution of all operations.
